Continuation of cultural heritage-related exploration activities on land parcels owned by Rio Sava

Rio Sava Exploration d.o.o., in line with regulations of the Republic of Serbia and conditions issued by the Institute for Protection of Cultural Monuments “Valjevo” (Zavod za zaštitu spomenika kulture „Valjevo“) endorses the implementation of protective exploration activities on archaeological sites in the wider area of Paulje site, in the Jadar River valley.

The next stage of archaeological exploration activities will be carried out to define the boundaries of archaeological sites more precisely, and to enable further identification, mapping and management of these sites. As the owner of several land parcels with identified archaeological remains, the company acts in line with legal obligations to provide access and enable realization of exploration activities by responsible institutions.

Since 2010, Rio Sava Exploration has provided continuous support to cultural heritage-related exploration activities in the Jadar area, in collaboration with state institutions, the local community and academia. With these activities, the company confirms its long-term commitment to the preservation of cultural heritage of the Republic of Serbia as well as spreading knowledge about Serbia’s vast historical heritage.
